Diaper Parties

About

heatherI was born in Kansas, and I have lived in Colorado since 1988. My husband and I have been married for 14 years and have 3 children. I stay busy homeschooling them and taking them to activities and parks.

When my first son was born in 2002, I didn’t know about cloth diapering so we used disposables with him. When my second son was born, we used disposables with him, but I was starting to hear from friends about how great the new cloth diapering systems were. I thought to myself, “I could never do that, it would be too hard.” However, when my second son was having trouble with nighttime potty learning, I began to check out cloth diapering. I had been buying disposable pull-up pants for him to use at night for almost a year. Then, I bought a couple of quality affordable prefolds and some large covers and put them on my son at night. They worked perfectly! When I got pregnant with our third child in 2010, I knew I wanted to cloth diaper her full-time. It was very hard to sort through all the information out there so I ended up buying things that didn’t work for us. I have since found what works for me and fits my baby the best. Cloth diapering is easier and more economical than I ever could have imagined!

Diaper Parties is a great way to see what is available before you purchase. There are so many positives to cloth diapering including eliminating trash from your home and from landfills, keeping chemicals off of baby’s bottom, saving money, and putting a stop to those dreaded late night trips to the grocery store! (Plus, the diapers are super cute!) I am so excited to be sharing my passion for cloth diapering with others.
