About

sarah darbyHello! I'm an artist, seamstress, crafter, wife, and mama. Before the birth of our daughter my husband and I decided on cloth. For me it was the environmental impact and continuing our commitment to fewer chemicals in our lives, for him it was all about the savings. Hazel was born at home in July 2010 and has been in cloth since day one! It was great to put cotton and wool on that fresh newborn skin instead of paper and plastic. Cloth diapers have worked brilliantly for us. We use them at home, out day-to-day and while traveling.

Since Hazel's birth I've met a lot more cloth diapering mamas and even converted a few. I know families who are snaps or velcro only, who use pockets or prefolds, who have a mixed stash or all of one brand. Families who cloth diaper all the time, during the day or only at home. I think there is a place for cloth in every baby's life. Every cloth diaper used is one fewer disposable in a landfill, and one fewer disposable you have to buy.
